Abstract
The Access to English and Science Outreach Project (AESOP) is a National Science Foundation grant program funded for three years to address issues of access to science and the language of science for deaf students. This presentation will provide an overview of the various outreach activities of this project, including the establishment of a national network of science teachers and other professionals interested in collaborating with science teachers, description of research, and evaluation activities focused on enhancing teaching strategies and instructional materials for the science classroom.
