Abstract
The provision of housing for students who are deaf or hard of hearing on a college campus, while still keeping them in the mainstream of the system, can be a problem for schools providing residence hall accommodations. This presentation gives an overview of a voluntary program, in existence for seventeen years, which houses together fifty students who are deaf/hard of hearing and/or majoring in a field related to deafness. Topics to be discussed include: implementation; accommodations; cost; recruitment; activities; faculty involvement; retention; and impact on participants.
