Focusing on the transition from school to work, the training offers a series of activities, supporting documents and topical videos designed to help the job seeker prepare for the world of work.

Online Notetaker Training
Students learn effective notetaking strategies and complete the training at their convenience. After reviewing the materials students can take an online quiz and receive a certificate of completion. The outcome of this training will be improved quality of notes for students who are deaf and hard of hearing!

Access: The Fundamentals
Access: The Fundamentals is a straightforward and informative introduction to the nature of hearing loss and its implications for communication and learning in educational settings. The course also provides basic information about accommodations that can make education, employment, and other activities accessible for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Communities of Practice
A Community of Practice (CoP) is comprised of individuals who share issues, challenges or concerns and want to change or improve practices. pepnet 2 provides the platform for members of CoP to discuss issues that impact access for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, including those with co-occurring disabilities. Members of pn 2’s Communities of Practice work collaboratively online to create solutions.

QuickClasses
QuickClasses are online training modules facilitated by recognized experts on the class topics. They are designed to improve the skills of service providers, administrators, students, and others providing support for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing. Participants receive top-notch online training (no travel necessary), at times that fit their schedules. Classes vary in length and structure based on content and target audience. Unlike many online courses, QuickClasses enable participants to interact with their peers and receive personalized guidance from instructors.

iTransition
iTransition is a free, online transition curriculum to help students who are deaf or hard of hearing prepare for life after high school. There are four separate trainings with activities to help students learn about themselves, their career goals, and the skills they need to be successful in the future.

Just-in-Time Training
Just-in-Time (JIT) online modules are accessible, short, self-contained trainings that provide quick overviews of specific issues important to our stakeholders and individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing. JITs are signed (ASL), captioned video presentations with English narration that communicate the important aspects of their topics clearly and concisely. Viewing times of JITs are generally less than 20 minutes.
