CAPED continues to be a recognized leader in the provision of programs and services for students with disabilities in postsecondary education. CAPED is the oldest organization of its kind. The innovators who established our programs have passed on the responsibility for providing professional development opportunities to a new generation of CAPED professionals. The annual training and convention is that singular opportunity to renew, re-connect and to collectively build upon our professional expertise.
The American Evaluation Association is an international professional association of evaluators devoted to the application and exploration of program evaluation, personnel evaluation, technology, and many other forms of evaluation. Evaluation involves assessing the strengths and weaknesses of programs, policies, personnel, products, and organizations to improve their effectiveness. Accessing Higher Ground focuses on the implementation and benefits of Accessible Media, Universal Design and Assistive Technology in the university, business and public setting. Other topic areas cover legal and policy issues, including ADA and 508 compliance.
