Job announcement: RCD in the Commonwealth of PA
Looking for an opportunity to work with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania? We have one opening for a RCD at Hiram G. Andrews Center in Johnstown, PA. Unlike traditional RCD jobs, this particular job is located at a comprehensive vocational rehabilitation facility, one of only a handful of such facilities in the nation. As an RCD at HGAC, you would be responsible for a small caseload of Deaf and hard of hearing students attending the Center. All of the cases you would be handling would be referrals from other RCDs and VRCs for specific services to be provided at the Center.
Apply to put yourself on the civil service list. After you have successfully fulfilled all the requirements of this position and submitted the correct paperwork, your name will then be placed on the civil service list for up to 36 months. RCD Interns (those in their final year of their graduate programs, but not in their final semester) start at $40,423.50/year, and RCDs (those in their final semester of their graduate program or those who already have their Master's degree) start at $48,450.00/year. There is a sign proficiency skill requirement for a minimum level of intermediate sign skills. Pennsylvania residency requirement is waived for this position.
