A Model Program to Provide Accommodations to College Students who are Hard of Hearing (Tipsheet)
This tipsheet is one in a series of publications that addresses services provided to students who are hard of hearing. High quality services feature a comprehensively accessible environment for students with disabilities through determination of eligibility, adherence to legal mandates, and the availability of various accommodations. A model program can have an instrumental role in the recruitment, transition, retention, and graduation success of students. It may include services or components that cover transition, identification and eligibility, documentation and assessment, policies and procedures, accommodations, and student leadership and self-advocacy.
