This one hour TeleTraining was designed to share information about new perspectives on reading and writing that may have implications for instruction and testing of individuals who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Participants will be invited to expand their traditional notions of literacy and to consider a new paradigm when considering testing and instruction that involves reading and writing skills.
Some of the topics that will be discussed in this TeleTraining are:
- Literacy - new definitions, issues, and perspectives.
- Accommodations for reading and writing - the most used accommodations for individuals who are blind and for those with learning disabilities - - implications for students who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
