Both RID & BEI CEUs are available at no cost for the live TeleTraining.
This one and a half hour TeleTraining was designed to share information about the fundamentals of providing remote captioning accommodations in both K-12 and postsecondary environments. The presenters provided information on best practices, technology, costs, equipment, logistics and other aspects involved in facilitating these accommodations. Both agencies also provided online captioning of the TeleTraining for participants to see two examples of remote captioning services (see transcript links below).
Some of the issues that were discussed in this TeleTraining included:
- Do you have questions about Remote Captioning services?
- Have you thought about the possibilities of using remote captioning accommodations when a live captionist is not available?
- Do you have concerns about the technology and equipment required to use remote captioning services?
- Would you like to get information directly from different remote captioning agencies at one time?
