This one hour TeleTraining was designed to share information about issues of accommodations for Deaf and hard of hearing individuals in the postsecondary setting. The panelists come from varied backgrounds and will discuss issues related to traditional classroom settings as well as distance learning, online classrooms, and multimedia access. Each panelist presented a unique perspective on accommodations and service provision. They related personal experiences as well as current best practices.
Some of the issues that were discussed in this TeleTraining included:
- What are the current standards for classroom accommodations?
- Are online classes typically accessible?
- How can online classes be made accessible?
- How are the changes in student population effecting the accommodations being requested?
